Originator and Speaker of the in 1997 founded and until 2008 working Collaborative Research Centre 537 "Institutionality and Historicity", as well head of the sub-project C "Institutional Structures of Medieval Orders"

Originator (2000) and Speaker (till 2001) of the DFG-funded International Graduate Programme 626 "Institutionelle Ordnungen, Schrift und Symbole / Ordres institutionnels, écrit et symbols / Institutional Orders, Writing and Symbols" (in cooperation with "Ecole pratique des Hautes Etudes"); since 2000 in charge of two german-french projects
